Conclusion
In conclusion, video-processing techniques such as ratio and proportion, image segmentation and morphological operations were able to efficiently and accurately extract physical measurements from a video. The fast frame rate of the video allowed measurement of the transient behaviour of the coupled pendulum (requiring time-averaged summations to extract energy). Hence, video-processing proves to be a practical and efficient technique for data-acquisition.
